        1. Intralase®, The Essential Component of Better Vision™. Rather than using a surgical blade as in traditional LASIK, the Intralase® uses a laser to create a uniquely safe, uniquely precise approach to predictably better vision!*. Serious intraoperative flap complications are practically eliminated. Additional advantages include the ability to make a Customized corneal flap of precise diameter, uniform desired thickness, and position. These capabilities are important in large refractive errors, large pupils, small and thin corneas. Flap creation is possible in eyes too small to fit a microkeratome (Asians and others with small eye openings). The uniform thickness and vertical edges decreases post-operative flap complications such as slipped or wrinkled flaps caused by accidental rubbing or trauma the eye. Many studies have demonstrated greater safety and improved vision with the Intralase®*. We have been using the Intralase® to create the flap since February 2002.
        2. Allegretto Wave™ This advanced wavefront optimized excimer laser. We have used the Allegretto Wave™ since February 2005.
        3. LADARVision® 4000 Excimer Laser system - with the first approved eye tracking system that utilizes technology developed for the Star Wars missile defense program. The first laser approved for wavefront guided custom ablation (CustomCornea®). We have been using the LADARVision® since February 2000.
        4. Visx S4 ActiveTrak™- The second laser approved for wavefront guided custom ablation (CustomVue™). We have used the Visx since August 1996.
    2. Mature adults with readers, bifocals, or cataracts.
      1. Monovision LASIK.
      2. Refractive lens exchange surgery with presbyopia correcting IOL for those without cataracts and presbyopia correction cataract surgery for those without cataracts. Both procedures are essentially the same. The first removes the lens which has harden and no longer focuses for near (presbyopia) . As the lens continues to harden vision decreases and the lens becomes a cataract.. The ultimate procedures for the mature adult young at heart with an active lifestyle who does not want to be hindered with glasses. Most patients never need any glasses for distance, intermediate, and near. These surgeries are done with no shots, no stitches, and no patches using Micro Incision Cataract Surgery for rapid recovery and return to an active lifestyle.
