He has performed over 1,800 LASIKs and 12,000 ophthalmic surgeries and is among the 20% of cataract surgeons who perform LASIK.
Dr. Oyakawa implanted his first presbyopia correcting IOL in March 2000. He did his residency and fellowships at the Wilmer Institute of the Johns Hopkins Hospital and
the Bascom Palmer Institute of the University of Miami.
